Parishioners, we are happy to announce that we will begin distributing the precious blood during communion once again, beginning on January 28th & 29th! We will have training following all weekend Masses on January 21st & 22nd for anyone who is currently an EMHC (Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion) or commonly referred to as a Eucharistic Minister or anyone who would like to become an EMHC. EMHC are to be 18 years of age, fully initiated into the Church, and a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. The process for distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during our weekend Masses will stay the same just with the addition of the precious blood. We will continue to distribute the Body in the same manner that we are currently doing, beginning with the far south section and the middle north section. The EMHC’s will stand to the south side of Priest/Deacon or whoever is distributing the Body. Once those sections are done the EMHC distributing blood will move to the north side of the Priest/Deacon or whoever is distributing the Body until all the congregation has received.
